Hello and welcome to all of my readers...which is literally about two of you at the moment, but welcome anyway!

For those of you who stumble across this little blog page, I hope you find some encouragement, some hope, and a whole lot of Jesus.

For those who may have been around for a while, yes, I am still writing, and no, the book isn't quite ready to be published.

The birth of my first fiction novel, Hatteras House, was one of those whirlwind experiences in life. I wrote it in just about one month, all 84,000 words. I poured everything into it for months. Editing, building the social media content, and learning how to do this writer thing.

And then, LIFE.

So. Much. Life.

My baby boy got engaged, setting off a whirlwind of wedding planning and an unexpected business venture with my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. In the midst of it all, I made the decision to leave my real estate career behind. At the same time, my mother’s health began to decline, which meant packing up her home, renovating what we could for my son and his fiancée, and moving Mom in with us full-time.

Caregiving is not for the weak—it has become my full-time job, the very thing that breaks me and rebuilds me every, single day. As if life wasn’t already shifting enough, within months, both my daughter and son moved out, leaving my husband and me as official "empty nesters"—except now, our nest included an 80-year-old who needed constant care. Talk about life-changing.

My deepest intentions as a writer may have been temporarily derailed, but there’s no doubt in my heart that God is calling me to the stories I was meant to tell. He continues to fill me with words, books to finish, and messages to share. The detours and distractions along the way don’t change His plan—He’s patiently waiting for me to get my act together and step fully into the purpose He’s set before me.

So here we go...again.

Goal Setting, Dreaming, and Moving Forward

So, I am hoping this little welcome message becomes the beginning of great things ahead. I am hopeful that 2025 means more goals being met, more room to dream, and most importantly finding the courage, strength, and endurance to move forward.

I am looking for ways to be still before the Lord, to hear His heart for His daughter, and to move without doubt or hesitancy in the favor and direction He provides. I hope you will join along. I hope I can encourage you to find evolving peace, infinite joy, and transformative intention in the next year as we move together through the places that only God can take us!
